Peachtree Puttery Breaks Ground
Peachtree Puttery Social House, a major new family entertainment center, broke ground earlier this week on August 10th. The finished center will be located at 2310 Peachtree Pkwy, and the total venue will be 31,800 square feet. Peachtree Puttery will feature 12 bowling lanes, more than 60 arcade games, an 18-hole mini gold course, 8 ax throwing lanes, 5 billiard tables, dining and bar options, and space for parties and corporate events. The project has been in development for several years, making the start of construction a major milestone. Plans have also shown retail and hotel development associated with the site. Once complete, Peachtree Puttery could become another regional entertainment draw for the growing Peachtree Pkwy corridor.

Desi Brothers Farmers Market Opens
Desi Brothers Farmers Market opened its new location earlier this week. Now with a new location at 1150 Market Place Blvd in Cumming, they are a store chain that already operates several stores in and outside of Georgia. The store held its soft launch opening on August 13th. Desi Brothers specializes in South Asian groceries such as rice, lentils, spices, and regional snacks and sweets. The new store occupies roughly 11,250 square feet in the Cumming Marketplace shopping center, placing it alongside national brands such as Marshalls, PetSmart, and Michaels. The opening also adds another international grocery option to the growing Marketplace Boulevard retail corridor, an area that continues to attract new businesses and capture Forsyth County’s and Cumming’s populations. The store is sure to well serve the county’s growing South Asian population.

Lennar Opens Estates at Yellow Creek
Lennar has officially opened sales for its Estates at Yellow Creek community in northwest Forsyth County. Located at 4385 Tillman Lane in Cumming, the development features large single-family homes with current floor plans ranging from 3065 to 3660 square feet. The current plans generally offer four to five bedrooms, three garages, and several offer basement options. The community is currently priced starting from the high $700,000 range, with six homes listed as available. The neighborhood is near Hurt Bridge Road and Manning Drive. It is also zoned for Poole’s Mill Elementary, Liberty Middle, and West Forsyth High School according to Lennar. The project adds another high-end residential community to northwest Forsyth as new housing development continues to push further in historically lesser developed parts of the county.
